Australia is leading the developed world in deforestation. Over 2200 Australian plants, animals and ecosystems are now considered threatened with extinction.

Recent research from Dr. Lilach Hedany at Tel Aviv University has revealed that plants make ultrasonic sounds when in distress – frantic popping noises. As the Federal Government is set to rewrite Australia's nature laws this year (for the first time in over 20 years), ACF partnered with Aussie singer-songwriter Jack River to write and record a brand-new song, Nature’s Cry, built from these never-before-heard sounds of plants crying out for help.
