COME AND SAY G’DAY

After years of border closures, Tourism Australia welcomed the world back with an unlikely duo—a souvenir kangaroo and a toy unicorn. The two take us on an epic adventure through the country that was viewed over 650 million times, translated into 7 languages, and voiced by Rose Byrne and Will Arnett. ‘Come and Say G’day’ is the big Aussie welcome we’ve been waiting for.

Then we plastered Ruby and Louis all over town, bringing them to life digitally on the biggest billboards in capital cities across the world.

So many talented people worked on this project, I was lucky enough to be an Art Director on the production of the film trailers, OOH and some of the many Ruby animations.

We briefed King Stingray (an Australian rock band from Northeast Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory) to recreate Men At Work’s iconic Aussie track “Land Down Under” by rewriting the lyrics and including Indigenous musical instruments and choirs. It peaked at number 6 on local charts and has since been nominated for five ARIA Awards, including Best Group and Album Of The Year.
